Simulation of Powertrain, Fuel Consumption, Emissions and Vibrations with winEVA

For more than 30 years we have been simulating road vehicle powertrains.
We have analysed drives with piston engines, gas turbines, electric engines with battery storage or fuel cells, hybrid drives, etc.
The winEVA software package developed by us for this purpose covers all these topologies and is used as a powerful simulation tool with more than 100 licences sold, primarily in the automotive industry.
 
 
 

Real-Time Control of Test Rigs with winEVA

Our winEVA software is used for the real-time control of test rigs.
The online test rig control in winEVA enables the specification of realistic driving manoeuvres under representative loads on the powertrain components and takes into account the requirements of electrified drive systems.

 

Further Development of E-Bikes with winEVA

We are supporting Aalen University in the further development of e-bikes.
With our software winEVA we simulate the non-uniformity of the drive torque via the pedals and implement the typical electric motor control and rider shifting behaviour of an e-bike in winEVA. The measured data from different e-bike rides are used as the route.

 

Fatigue Life Analysis with winLIFE

We use computational prediction to analyse the fatigue life of a wide range of components, from vehicles to wind turbines.
For the design and calculation of new types of vehicle components, we apply finite element methods and fatigue life prediction. Structural fatigue analysis is performed with FEM and MKS systems to find the optimum solution from a wide range of options.
For these services, we have developed the winLIFE software tool, which is successfully used by our customers.
We advise and support our customers from the purchase of the winLIFE software to the realisation of their projects. We also analyse questions of damage analysis.

Realistic Driving Cycles with winADAM

Realistic driving cycles are of great importance for the prediction of fatigue life, emissions and fuel consumption. The winADAM data acquisition system has been specially developed for this purpose and records video and position data in addition to various driving dynamics and mechanical parameters. A special measurement vehicle (MB EQA 250) is available for driving tests.

Realistic driving cycles are essential for predicting fatigue life, emissions and fuel consumption. The winADAM measurement data acquisition system was developed for this purpose. Installed in every vehicle in just 1 minute, winADAM collects extensive data without additional sensors.

To calculate the fatigue life of a wide range of components, from vehicles to wind turbines, our customers have access to winLIFE, a reliable software with various modules. Structural analyses with regard to fatigue life are carried out with FEM and MKS systems in order to find the best one from the multitude of possibilities. Data from other FE programmes are read in via a flexible interface.
